So I'm not a quick blogger by any stretch. I don't just write these quickly off the top of my head and then throw in a couple of pictures and voila...
Mostly I type my thoughts, and save them and when I get around to actually adding pictures and links is when you get to read the post.
Am I not supposed to admit that? I think this is supposed to look effortless...sorry.
Anyway, the reason I tell you this is because I feel like the posts are supposed to be in some chronological order and/or fairly recent news. That might not always be the case...just so you know.
For the most part I think you'll be on a 2 to 3 week time delay from my life.
And to that end, here are a couple of bags I made a while back:
This first one is a basic Swing Bag (pattern by Amy Butler). I made it for my sister's birthday, but I haven't actually given it to her yet.
This one is a modified Swing Bag. I made it a bit bigger and did some fancy piecing on each side.
Cute bags!! And while I myself have a huge stash of those Heather Bailey prints, I love love love that big floral print you used in the second bag. Is that Alexander Henry? It rocks!

LOVE - love love them all. I must make one. It's not exactly fair of you to post these photos after I've just come out of the bag-addicted closet to you. You're an enabler. But thanks.

Very Cute! I love reversible bags too. The orange looks great too. I just ordered some Amy Butler orange prints.
Maybe orange really is the new pink!

So cute! I think the last bag is my favorite. The bags seem kind of like a modified quilt being that you're using different fabrics with colors that go together without the actual squares of a quilt. Fun inspiration! Thanks for sharing!!

Orange IS the new Pink!! What was the old pink?? The bags are great, but not for guys like me! :)
And just so you know...in my last post, I was talking about how dry and tired I was feeling in my world....and it hasn't gone a day without rain here since Sunday. But the pictures I loaded didn't match.
I load my pix, then I write, and all you said about things looking effortless...I have had the same thoughts!

Jessica,
Your blog is a delight! I think you are becoming a favorite for I really like your approach to blogging. My blog "is all over the place" and I worry it is not as good as others - and then I decided so what, I am having fun! The bags are cute. I'm a bit older than you and remember fabrics like the Amy Butler line being really popular in the late 60's and early 70's. Now that gives you a clue to my age :-)

I love both bags, and I know what you mean, some days are harder to blog than others. One day the words fly out of my brain faster than I can type them, and then other days - nothing!

Gotta love a Rocky Horror quote!
I take awhile to process a blog idea into writing. Sometimes it takes me awhile as well. That's why I don't blog everyday. It would take up to much time out of my day. I need to be better though at writing down thoughts as I have them. So often when I sit down to blog I'm at a loss for words.
Your bags are cute. I really like the stripey orange one. I love the coriander.

I love all of those bags!!! You are making me want to cancel all Labor day plans and sew my heart out!

Terrific bags! I especially love the one with the pieced and embellished side paired with the different fabric on the reverse side. How clever! I will have to steal your idea. I just finished the AB Covington bag. I changed the design a bit, though. I think you should enter your beautiful bags into the AB monthly contest at U-handbag (http://u-handbag.typepad.com/uhandblog/2007/04/amy_butler_sewi.html).
