That's what we call Aurora. Or one of the names anyway. She started out as "Boo" or more frequently "Miss Boo" or "The Boo". One of the reasons we choose her name was because we loved the nickname Rory. But we almost never call her that (yet). We just stop at "Roar".
As previously mentioned, she will be having a monster themed birthday party in just a short while. These are the invites I made for it. I suppose a monster says something more like "RAAR"...but now you understand my choice.
I sewed the little monster separately and ended up gluing him on rather than sewing, because I didn't like seeing the stitching inside. They weren't overly difficult to make, but seriously time consuming. I don't recommend this general idea unless you have less than like 10-15 invites to send.

Yet more cleverness! Those are adorable. I hope the party is rumpus-filled.

oh, you are too clever! And such an inspiration to all mommies!! It makes me believe that I will be able to do this too. How do you find the time?!?!? I need a lesson on time management and how to balance the home, the kids, and my own personal interests...ugh! For now, I will just live vicariously through people like you! Enjoy that party - roar!! :)

Very creative and expertly done! You are so very talented. (I am still using "Greetings Workshop" and ink-jet paper--so lame!)
I know the birthday party will be so much fun. I hope you'll share photos.

my ears hurt already....clear across the country...
Seriously cute cards...do other mothers call you Martha??
Linda (my wife) doesn't do things quite like you, but she is clever, and I can see you are too!! (her friends call her Martha...so that's how that relates....kinda)

I love the monster cards and my son would think they are great, too. He loved monsters as a kid. His collection of rubber monsters (a small suitcase full) reside here with us and now when my grandson visits he enjoys playing with them. Some things are timeless!

Do you sell the monster invitations that you made? I love them. I'm throwing my son a 5th birthday party and it's going to be monster themed.

What great craft for kids! I like this one so much, it's a nice idea for Halloween invitations, I will use it the next time.

Yes, I agree to this blog that the parent should educate their kids at the early stage of their life. So that they can easily adapt themselves when they are ready to go to school. It must be not the high end one, but at least a kid can do anything to it to learn basics.
